DVM was developed for Utility Intelligence by Energy Technology Group (ETG) as an answer to a complex set of industry needs and problems. Energy Technology Group, located in Fort Worth, Texas is a made up of a team of visionary electrical and database engineers with decades of experience in utility automation and advanced remote terminal unit development. Three years ago, ETG and the forerunners to Utility Intelligence recognized that available technologies could be integrated to create a system that went well beyond the typical AMR solution. A system that went beyond the metering department and improved the efficiency of the utility itself. By combining a repeating, bi-directional field solution capable of near real time data acquisition with internal software and hardware solutions designed to make that valuable data portable to all areas of the utility’s infrastructure, they have created a completely new way of looking at meter reading – and more than that, a new way of looking at the total business of utility provision.
Through their relationships with ETG and its utility industry affiliates, Utility Intelligence can design, implement and support DVM installations at any level. With the knowledge base and back end support of these industry resources, Utility Intelligence has access to an almost endless network of support and technical resources familiar with the DVM product. These relationships allow Utility Intelligence to provide realistic insight to the overall utility industry and how the application of DVM fits within it.
